I planted vermentino because its’ history on the sundrenched island of Sardinia promised it would thrive in the hot and dry summers that we have recently experienced here at Tabilk, in central Victoria. I also wanted a variety that made a savoury and refreshing partner to the light Italian fish and pasta dishes that we enjoy when eating out or cooking at home.
With delicious hints of zesty grapefruit and the variety's hallmark briny complexity, it’s perfect to savour with a dozen fresh oysters or a bowl of steamed mussels, and makes a delicious partner to a grilled fillet of snapping-fresh flathead.Place an order with Sarah
