A generously flavoured wine with a gentle tannin finish, making it a great partner to a simple meal.

Generations ago winemakers discovered that including a small portion of white grapes in a red ferment deepened the colour and added complexity to the nose. The shiraz and roussanne grapes in this wine were grown side by side, harvested and fermented together, then aged in a mixture of old and new French barriques before bottling.

With all my wines I 'tread as lightly as I can' letting the fruit and the flavours of the Tabilk 'terroir' shine through. Here the result is a generously flavoured wine with a gentle tannin finish

A great partner to a simple meal—perhaps a roast or pasta—shared with friends.

JAMES HALLIDAY...95 POINTS (2019)
'...the co-fermentation of the two varieties works well, enhancing the elegant, savoury nature of this medium-bodied wine. The palate is long and harmoniously balanced, the French oak subtle but adding significantly to a most attractive wine.'
