2011 Savagnin

I planted savagnin for two reasons: its’ southern Mediterranean origins promised an ability to cope with the increasingly hot, dry conditions we have experienced at Tabilk, in central Victoria, in recent years. And, most importantly it makes a delicious grapey fresh wine to be enjoyed over the long and languid summer months. My savagnin has delivered on its’ promise, with an attractive grapey fresh nose, long fresh palate and crisp finish. Chill and enjoy on a warm evening when catching up with friends. Or serve with a plate of freshly shucked oysters or beer battered fish and chips.
